শ্রীপুর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের ভোটার তালিকা ও ফ্যামিলি রেজিস্টারে দুই ব্যক্তির অন্তর্ভুক্তি নিয়ে নিরপেক্ষ তদন্তের দাবি সংক্রান্ত বিবৃতি!
শ্রীপুর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের ভোটার তালিকা এবং ফ্যামিলি রেজিস্টারসহ সংশ্লিষ্ট সরকারি নথিতে দুই ব্যক্তির নাম ও পরিচয় সংক্রান্ত কিছু অসঙ্গতি গোপিকা কান্ত দত্তের নজরে এসেছে। বিষয়টির গুরুত্ব বিবেচনা করে আজ, ০৫ অক্টোবর ২০২৬ তারিখে, গোপিকা কান্ত দত্ত সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের কাছে পৃথকভাবে দুটি লিখিত অভিযোগ দাখিল করে নিরপেক্ষ, পূর্ণাঙ্গ ও আইনসম্মত তদন্ত এবং নথিপত্র যাচাইয়ের দাবি জানিয়েছেন।
অভিযোগে উল্লিখিত দুই ব্যক্তি হলেন শ্রীমতী অঞ্জনা ধর এবং শ্রী গৌতম পাল। অভিযোগ অনুযায়ী, ২০২৪ সালের পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচনের চূড়ান্ত ভোটার তালিকায় তাঁদের নাম অন্তর্ভুক্ত রয়েছে এবং তাঁরা শ্রীপুর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের ভোটার হিসেবে ভোটাধিকার প্রয়োগ করেছেন বলে তথ্য পাওয়া গেছে। একইসঙ্গে তাঁদের নাম ফ্যামিলি রেজিস্টার ও সংশ্লিষ্ট স্থানীয় সরকারি নথিতেও রয়েছে বলে অভিযোগে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে।
আরও একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় হলো, উভয় ব্যক্তির ঠিকানা হিসেবে শ্রীপুর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের ৫ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের হাউস নং ৮ উল্লেখ রয়েছে। অভিযোগে বলা হয়েছে, উক্ত বাড়িটি শ্রীপুর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের প্রাক্তন পঞ্চায়েত সদস্যা শ্রীমতী সবিতা পালের স্থায়ী বাসস্থান হিসেবে পরিচিত। গোপিকা কান্ত দত্ত প্রায় ৪০ বছর ধরে শ্রীপুর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত এলাকায় বসবাস করছেন এবং তাঁর ব্যক্তিগত জ্ঞান ও অভিজ্ঞতা অনুযায়ী, উল্লিখিত দুই ব্যক্তিকে তিনি ওই বাড়িতে বসবাস করতে আগে দেখেননি বা তাঁদের ওই এলাকার বাসিন্দা হিসেবে জানেন না। তাই তাঁদের প্রকৃত বসবাস, উক্ত ঠিকানার সঙ্গে তাঁদের সম্পর্ক এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট নথিতে তাঁদের অন্তর্ভুক্তির ভিত্তি সরেজমিন যাচাইয়ের মাধ্যমে নিশ্চিত করার দাবি জানিয়েছেন।
এছাড়াও অভিযোগে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে যে, সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তিদের নাম ২০০৫ সালের উপলব্ধ ভোটার তালিকায় খুঁজে পাওয়া যায়নি এবং তাঁদের পারিবারিক পরিচয় সংক্রান্ত কিছু তথ্যও যথাযথভাবে যাচাই করা প্রয়োজন। তবে গোপিকা কান্ত দত্ত স্পষ্টভাবে উল্লেখ করেছেন যে, কোনও ব্যক্তির নাম পূর্ববর্তী ভোটার তালিকায় না থাকা নিজে থেকে কোনও বেআইনি কার্যকলাপ বা অযোগ্যতার প্রমাণ নয়। এই কারণেই তিনি বিষয়টিতে কোনও চূড়ান্ত সিদ্ধান্তে না পৌঁছে, উপযুক্ত কর্তৃপক্ষের মাধ্যমে যথাযথ যাচাই ও তদন্তের আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন।
কিছু সূত্রের মাধ্যমে সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তিদের জাতীয়তা এবং পূর্ববর্তী নথিভুক্তি সম্পর্কে প্রশ্ন উঠেছে। তবে এ-সংক্রান্ত তথ্য স্বাধীনভাবে যাচাই করা হয়নি। তাই তাঁদের পরিচয়, নাগরিকত্ব, বসবাসের ইতিহাস, পরিচয়পত্র এবং সরকারি নথিতে তাঁদের নাম অন্তর্ভুক্তির ভিত্তি প্রযোজ্য আইন ও বিধি অনুযায়ী যাচাই করার দাবি জানিয়েছেন গোপিকা কান্ত দত্ত।
গোপিকা কান্ত দত্তের দাবি অত্যন্ত স্পষ্ট; কর্তৃপক্ষ যেন সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তিদের পরিচয়, ঠিকানা, নাগরিকত্ব, ভোটার তালিকায় অন্তর্ভুক্তির নথি, পূর্ববর্তী ভোটার রেকর্ড, ফ্যামিলি রেজিস্টারের মূল নথি, ট্রান্সফার রেকর্ড এবং অন্যান্য সংশ্লিষ্ট দলিল পরীক্ষা করেন। একইসঙ্গে প্রয়োজনে হাউস নং ৮-এর সরেজমিন পরিদর্শন করে প্রকৃত বসবাসের বিষয়টিও যাচাই করা হোক।
যদি তদন্তে কোনও ভুল, মিথ্যা ঘোষণা, জাল নথি, প্রতারণামূলক তথ্য, বেআইনি অন্তর্ভুক্তি, একাধিক ভোটার তালিকায় নাম থাকা বা অন্য কোনও আইনভঙ্গের বিষয় প্রমাণিত হয়, তাহলে আইন অনুযায়ী যথাযথ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা হোক। আর যদি তদন্তে কোনও অনিয়ম প্রমাণিত না হয়, তাহলেও সেই বিষয়টি সরকারি যাচাইয়ের মাধ্যমে স্পষ্ট হওয়া উচিত।
গোপিকা কান্ত দত্তের পক্ষ থেকে পুনরায় স্পষ্ট করা হচ্ছে যে, এই অভিযোগ কোনও ব্যক্তিকে দোষী সাব্যস্ত করার উদ্দেশ্যে নয়; বরং সরকারি নথির নির্ভুলতা, ভোটার তালিকার স্বচ্ছতা এবং প্রশাসনিক ব্যবস্থার প্রতি জনসাধারণের আস্থা অটুট রাখার স্বার্থে।
গোপিকা কান্ত দত্ত আশা করেন যে, সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষ বিষয়টি গুরুত্ব সহকারে গ্রহণ করে দ্রুত, নিরপেক্ষ ও আইনসম্মত তদন্ত করবেন এবং তদন্তের ফলাফলের ভিত্তিতে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করবেন।
PR STATEMENT: REGARDING THE DEMAND FOR AN IMPARTIAL INVESTIGATION INTO THE INCLUSION OF TWO INDIVIDUALS IN THE VOTER LIST AND FAMILY REGISTER OF SRIPUR GRAM PANCHAYAT!
Certain discrepancies concerning the names and identities of two individuals in the voter list, Family Register, and other relevant government records of Sripur Gram Panchayat have come to the attention of Gopika Kanta Dutta. Considering the seriousness of the matter, on 05 October 2026, Gopika Kanta Dutta submitted two separate written complaints to the concerned authorities, demanding an impartial, comprehensive, and lawful investigation and verification of the relevant records and documents.
The two individuals named in the complaints are Mrs. Anjana Dhar and Mr. Gautam Pal. According to the complaints, their names are included in the final voter list for the 2024 Panchayat elections, and information has been received that they exercised their voting rights as voters of Sripur Gram Panchayat. The complaints further state that their names also appear in the Family Register and other relevant local government records.
Another significant issue raised in the complaints is that the address of both individuals is recorded as House No. 8, Ward No. 5, Sripur Gram Panchayat. It has been alleged that the said house is known as the permanent residence of Mrs. Sabita Pal, a former Panchayat member of Sripur Gram Panchayat. Gopika Kanta Dutta has been residing in the Sripur Gram Panchayat area for approximately 40 years and, based on his personal knowledge and experience, states that he has not previously seen the above-mentioned individuals residing at the said house or known them as residents of the area. Therefore, he has demanded that their actual residence, their relationship with the said address, and the basis on which their names were included in the relevant records be confirmed through proper field-level verification.
The complaints also state that the names of the concerned individuals could not be found in the available 2005 voter list, and that certain information relating to their family identities also requires proper verification. However, Gopika Kanta Dutta has specifically clarified that the absence of a person's name from an earlier voter list, by itself, does not constitute proof of any illegal activity or ineligibility. For this reason, rather than reaching any premature conclusion, he has called upon the competent authorities to conduct appropriate verification and investigation.
Certain questions have also been raised through some sources regarding the nationality and previous registration records of the concerned individuals. However, such information has not been independently verified. Therefore, Gopika Kanta Dutta has demanded that their identity, citizenship, residential history, identity documents, and the basis for inclusion of their names in government records be verified in accordance with the applicable laws and rules.
The demand of Gopika Kanta Dutta is clear: the authorities should examine the concerned individuals' identity, address, citizenship, documents supporting their inclusion in the voter list, previous electoral records, original Family Register records, transfer records, and all other relevant documents. Where necessary, a physical inspection of House No. 8 should also be conducted to verify the matter of actual residence.
If the investigation establishes any error, false declaration, forged document, fraudulent information, unlawful inclusion, inclusion of a name in multiple voter lists, or any other violation of law, appropriate action should be taken in accordance with the law. Conversely, if the investigation does not establish any irregularity, that fact should also be clarified through official verification.
On behalf of Gopika Kanta Dutta, it is once again clarified that this complaint is not intended to declare any individual guilty; rather, it has been made in the interest of maintaining the accuracy of government records, transparency of the voter list, and public confidence in the administrative system.
Gopika Kanta Dutta hopes that the concerned authorities will take the matter seriously, conduct a prompt, impartial, and lawful investigation, and take necessary action based on the findings of the investigation.
